Unemployment !

 Unemployment is a term used for individuals who are qualified for a job but don't have one.

 Today I will highlight few Reasons, some suggestions and will list few other problems/crimes caused by unemployment.

Reasons:

1 Economy: Unemployment is higher in those countries in which economy is weak.When economy of a country is low it affects on how much people will be employed and how much they will get payed.When the company is not doing well in business it will offer low pay and want less workers.

2 Career Counselling: Career counselling is very important while choosing a program in college and university.Many people chose a subject because of its scope and popularity even if they are interested in some other subject .They cannot learn it properly resulting in low grades and unemployment. A proper session with career counselor can really help you choose the right path for you because there is scope of person not the subject.

Problems created by unemployment:

1 Street crimes: A man who has spent years learning and cannot find a suitable job is definitely under lot of stress and want to earn money to feed himself and his family.It results in an increased rate of street crimes like snatching, assaults and pickpocketing.

2 Domestic Violence: An unemployed person is under alot of mental stress and his mental health is effected. Under these circumstances it increases the chances of domestic violence.

Suggestions:

•  Provide career counselling to the youth.
• Learn a skill in early years of higher education.
• Expansion of employment exchange.
• Helping small businesses.

We all have a part to play.Play your part wisely.

Smoking & Youth!

Today I would like to draw your attention towards this serious issue of increasing use of cigarettes in the   youth.It is considers as a trend and taken lightly in society but infact it is a slow poison which is taking you towards your death faster day by day. 

Smoking is a very bad habit and still it is very famous.The list of diseases caused by smoking is so long but few are cancer, heart disease, stroke, lung diseases and diabetes. Smokers are not only harming themselves but also harming other people around them by means of "passive smoking"

Passive smoking

   is the inhalation of smoke, by persons other than the intended "active" smoker. It occurs when tobacco smoke enters an environment, causing its inhalation by people within that environment.These people are being affected without any intention.This really effects the health of kids living in this environment.

Role of Media 

There is a very important role played by the media.The main characters are made so attractive and also shown to be smoking in that series or films.This really effects the mind of a young person who is getting impressed by the character.

Role of Family

Family plays an important role in the habit building of a child. First of all you need to quit and hate smoking yourself in order to advice others to do so.Keep an eye on your child ,the company he keeps and stay close to him/her.Get them involved in any sports or creative activity.

Role of government

Role of government is also very important.They should limit production of cigarettes if not stop.The retailers should be strictly ordered not to sell this to youngsters.Stop the promotion of this industry.

Here I would like to share a pathetic fact.

If you watch films you must know what bollywood is.Indian government has ordered its censor board to play a public service message before every film about the harms of smoking.But on the other hand Indian government holds 32% shares in this industry.(Hindustan times)

Inauguration of Joe Biden and Armed Protests!

The inauguration of Joe Biden as the 46th president of the United States at noon on Wednesday, January 20, 2021, will mark the commencement of the four-year term of Joe Biden as president and Kamala Harris as vice president. The inaugural ceremony will take place on the West Front of the United States Capitol in Washington, D.C. and will be the 59th presidential inauguration. Biden will take the oath of office as president, and Harris will take the oath of office as vice president. 

 But there are high security risks.

• There are 15000 gaurd's place to secure the capital. 
• Recently an armed person with a gun and 500 rounds was arrested with a fake invitation to the inauguration ceremony.
• A member of Proud boys is also arrested on charges to plan another attack.
• There is also a risk of inside attack.
• Lockdown in Washington 
• People are requested not to come for the inauguration ceremony.
  

This has never happened before. When there is so much risk if any thing goes bad who will be responsible. Remember that we are talking about the worlds super power.What if this super power is attacked and what will be the effects of it on the rest of the world.

Well we have to think about it. And we have to play a role in it.

Americans should stand up right now to make America Great Again.

Privacy of user and Social Media !

 Privacy can be defined in many ways but simply it is the protection of human dignity.In this specific article we will talk about privacy of social media users.So we will say that Privacy is the protection of human dignity serving as an organization.

In today's world everyone who has access to internet is using social m
edia either in the form of facebook,twitter,instagram,whatsapp etc. To create an account on these sites you will give them your email or phone number,birthdate etc. Now when you have an account you can now message(which is called a private message), to your friends and people you may know. But the question is that if those messages are safe? Is your phone number shared with others? Are your interest being noticed by the use of AI so that they can place the related ads on your homepage?

Well , I think yes. There is no thing such as privacy on internet.Even if your service provider dosen't share it with others , there are certain other factors which will affect on your messages images and documents being protected.

Hackers : Hackers can easily hack into your account and steal the information they need and iceing on cake that you will not even notice.

I would like to mention Facebook analytical data scandal here.

Recently Whatsapp privacy policy update was also so much in news , definitly these both companies are owned by one person so they will want to access data of mutual user for better ad experience.

It was also mentioned that by using this data the US election was interfered. Just imagine how much the Data is important..

STEPS TO TAKE AS A USER

Now I will never say that we should stop using all these apps.But we should take some steps on our own.

1. We should never share any of our password with anyone.
2. We should never send our confidential information (documents) using social media.
3. We should keep a specific time of using social media .
4. We should avoid visiting unauthorized links because is gateway to a hacker.
   

The Outdated curriculum and its effects (Pakistan educational institutions)

 "Without education it is complete darkness and with education it is light. Education is a matter of life and death to our nation. The world is moving so fast that if you do not educate yourselves you will be not only completely left behind, but will be finished up." said by the founder of Pakistan.

And indeed is a comprehensive quote from a great  man but are we following his advice ..

No we are not. 22.8 million children are out of school even after 73 years of independence.

In his quote he has adviced us to keep up with the word but our curriculum is out dated. We have not been able to adopt changes and upgrade our curriculum according to the speed of the modern world.If we still don't upgrade our curriculum we will be left behind.Our education system mainly focus on memorizing not on actually understanding the concept.Quoting these lines from an article ⏬

Pakistan seems to be backward in technology and innovation. The key reason behind this is our outdated curriculum which restricts the capacity building and creativity among the students. The present generation is learning the same knowledge which the last two generations have learnt. Institutes in Pakistan lack activity-based learning and cramming culture restrains concepts development in students. Hence the teaching methodology also needs to be advanced and practical learning should be adopted. Using e-learning as a platform to provide education to students should be considered as an option in our educational system. ( Mehwish Khan :CSCR )

 In high school youngster can pass an examination if he/she got 17 marks out of 50 (Islamic and Pakistan studies). If a person cannot take atleast 50% marks in subject related to his Religion and Country, how can he become succsessful in future life.They should be taught these subjects in a story form, so they can enjoy this and remember for a long time gaining at least 50% marks.

Twitter "Trending page" and its Influence

As we all know  Twitter is a famous American social networking service on which users post and interact with messages known as "tweets". It has a page which tells the user that this particular topic is trending in this particular region.

 

Today I will write about how this page can influence the users.

Media plays very a important role and has influence in virtually every aspect of our lives. ... It greatly affects our lives because media has the power to influence our thoughts. This influence is sometimes positive and sometimes negative.

 

First of all lets see
how something gets in this trending page.

If someone has a large following tweets something using a specific keyword or hashtag which attracts people from specific group or community they also use the same hashtag to discuss the topic and in a result it trends in twitter.And now the people in that region can see it on their desktops even if they dont belong to that specific group or community and as a result are influenced by this topic.

Now as I mentioned earlier that this influence is sometimes positive and sometimes negative.

Consider that there is a charity event or a singer has just dropped his new album or its about a football match.Its Okay that it trends and people get this kind of news but If someone is posting something violent, full of hatred then the things go worse.Like every one knows why Donald Trumps account is suspended.There is no  point taking steps after the loss,

 

Here are few suggestions

1 Only quantity  should not matter in trending a subject or topic.

2 Spam accounts must be banned

3 There should be a regular check on whether this account is being run by a robot or a human.

Racism and "Fair & Lovely"

Racism is a belief that because of  different skin color some groups are superior while other is inferior.It also increases the amount of hatred and people without any proof or solid reason  judge others on the bases of their skin color.

This is a very vast and lengthy topic, but today i will just explain how the ads  of beauty products specially beauty creams tell their audience that beauty is affiliated with the color white.

Now i will take the example of Fair & Lovely   which is an indian based brand since 1975.

From its establishment until now its advertisements always focused on one and only thing that beauty is in color white as its name also tells you "Fair & Lovely" that this cream will make you look "fair" and "lovely". It really creates a mindset of people that if they are black then they are not beautiful. 

The Reason why i chose this specific brand an example because few days ago they evolved their name as "Glow & Lovely"  .  they finally understood that everyone is beautiful.you don't need to be white in order to be beautiful.
